Shahrukh occasionally performs with other partners when Daniela is not available. These may include other well-regarded dancers local to the area of the performance, or internationally traveled and regarded dancers which have included Mariana Fresno and Carina Losano (Buenos Aires) and Yvonne Meissner (Netherlands).

Performance Services and Prices
A standard Tango performance comprises three pieces, generally two Tangos and a Milonga (a popular dance in the Tango family), each of about 3 minutes, but other variations are possible. We provide all the music on CDs and appropriate cueing instructions. The basic price is $100 for the 3-dance performance for local performances (within 15 minutes of Cambridge, Massachusetts).
The actual price may be more for extra travel, significant waiting or required attendance at rehearsals, etc. It could be less if it's part of a package that includes classes or workshops, or if it's for a benefit or donation for a worthwhile cause or non-profit organization. Daniela and Shahrukh love performing, and frequently do reduced-price or pro bono benefit performances, so do enquire if you believe your event falls into this category.

About Daniela

Daniela de Farias has been dancing Argentine Tango since 1999. She has participated in several tango music and dance performances in the San Francisco Bay Area, including at the restaurants Pena Pachamama and El Valenciano in San Francisco, in the World Music show Divas Latinas, at Quintessa Winery in Napa Valley and in the piano concert Voltando as Raizes at Stanford University. She was born in Brazil, and lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for 5 years before recently moving to Boston, where she is also a regular performer for the Tango Society of Boston. |
Our Performing Philosophy
Tango is a beautiful and intense dance, and one that is highly creative and improvisational. The true Argentine Tango is entirely improvised with no pre-arranged choreographies, and that is the way we perform it, as that is the way in which the energy, passion and intensity of the dance are most naturally revealed and create the most interest for the audience. We love dancing Tango and enjoy every dance that we do, and always share that enthusiasm with our audiences!
